Join us on Lincoln Avenue for a safe, family-friendly Halloween tradition in partnership with our local merchants and Books for Treats.
Trick-or-Treat the Avenue!
Local participating businesses from Minnesota Ave to Willow St will be handing out candy and goodies along Lincoln Avenue. For everyone’s safety, please follow the route clockwise.
Sessions (open to the public):
- Session 1: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM (toddlers/Kindergarten & younger)
- Session 2: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM (1st–6th graders)
Books for Treats (Free Books Instead of Candy)
The nonprofit Books for Treats will gift each child one free book of their choice—because one great book can spark a lifelong love of reading.
- Location: In front of the Garden Theatre, Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA 95125
- Times: 11:00–12:30 (Kindergarten & younger) and 3:00–4:30 (1st–6th graders)

Helpful Reminders
- Bring a bag for treats/books and dress for the weather.
- Cross only at crosswalks; follow the clockwise flow.
- Many merchants run out—arrive early if you can.
